Divers Club Azores is a boutique SSI dive centre based in Lajes do Pico, offering carefully curated ocean and inland experiences that reflect the raw, untamed beauty of the Azores.

At the heart of the experience are signature offshore expeditions to Princess Alice Bank and Condor Bank.
Rising from the depths of the open Atlantic, Princess Alice Bank is considered among the world’s most iconic dive sites, renowned for its encounters with large pelagic species. Here, divers and snorkellers may experience close interactions with mobula rays moving gracefully through blue water, alongside other ocean wanderers, with the occasional presence of whale sharks.
Condor Bank offers encounters with blue sharks in the open ocean, often approaching with a quiet curiosity and effortless grace, moving through the deep with a presence that is both powerful and captivating. On occasion, mako sharks may also be observed.
Reef diving forms an essential part of the experience, offering relaxed and enjoyable shore dives that showcase the island’s unique underwater landscapes, while also allowing divers to refine their skills and adapt to local conditions before venturing offshore.
Bait ball encounters are dynamic snorkelling and freediving experiences, where vast schools of fish attract predators such as tuna, dolphins, baleen whales, and flocks of Cory’s shearwaters, creating a truly remarkable natural spectacle.
SSI courses and specialties are delivered in small groups, following the same philosophy, with a focus on safety, quality, and individual progression.
All ocean activities are conducted using carefully maintained Mares equipment and guided by experienced professionals with extensive local knowledge of Pico Island and its surrounding waters.
In addition, the centre offers sunset boat trips, scooter rental, and a selection of inland tours, allowing guests to explore Pico Island beyond the water.
